About us
NaatyaBhoomi.com is an initiative of Mridula Sriram.
Mridula Sriram is a passionate Bharatanatyam dancer and coder who believes in bringing together the worlds of art and technology. She trains in the Raadhakalpa style under renowned dancer and choreographer Smt. Rukmini Vijayakumar, and in the Karanas under Smt. Mahati Kannan, a disciple of legendary dancer and scholar Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam.
With a deep love for the classical arts and a strong belief in the power of technology, Mridula envisions creating meaningful digital solutions that support artists, enhance their lives and work, and make the world of dance and culture more accessible and connected. NaatyaBhoomi is born from this vision - to build a vibrant online community that brings artists, audiences, opportunities, knowledge, and culture together.
Beyond her own artistic journey, Mridula has embraced Bharatanatyam as an instrument for social impact. Through her NaatyaShiksha Foundation, a charitable trust that she runs, she has helped bring the transformative power of dance to over 100 young girls from underserved communities. Her first cohort successfully completed Grade 1 certification from Annamalai University. The NaatyaShiksha initiative was selected for presentation at the United Nations in New York in 2025.
